7/10/14 RUN UPDATE – Pete and Jamie have set up four loops all starting from the same trailhead on the Scenic Highway, a 20 minute drive from Marlinton. Loops are 6ish, 12ish, 15ish, 22ish. That ish what the map they gave me says! Trust it.  Need to know if you are coming, please do.

Looks Like Marlinton might become a regular thing. There are miles and miles of trail in the Cranberry Wilderness / Williams River area to discover. So it’s August 2 on Pocahontas County. We will be camping in Marlinton backyards of Tim & Susan Daly and Dan & Tracey Todd August 1-3. The Greenbrier River Rail Trail and boating are right there, and cool downs in the world class Knapps Creek swimming hole only a short drive.

Saturday morning will be a 30 minute drive up to the Scenic Highway. There are many miles of trails, but we’ll have a loop or two planned out ahead of time.

Bring some fav food dish, fruit, snack, dessert or whatever for the potluck Saturday afternoon. Marlinton has a few restaurants and a coffee shop within walking distance.

Cost – $5/adult

You can find your way to Marlinton, directions to house coming soon.

We need a head count, so email wvmtr1@gmail.com
